I am a very satisfied Mom who at first reculantly spent this much money on this CHI 1 ˝” flat iron for my daughter 2 years ago for Christmas! WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT!!!! =) Now it is not working, it has been used almost daily so we expected it to wear out but it has been a good 2 years with it. NOW, I am in the process of ordering a new one for my daughter very soon! The exactly same one I ordered 2 years ago. =) It works on my daughter's thick hair very well!

Durability not so great |

I love my chi straightener, but a couple days ago the light went out and it wouldn't heat up at all. I've had it for less than a year, and don't use it every day. Really disappointed.

Not worth the $ to try this |

I have tried a good amount of flat irons over the years, and figured if I was paying $220 for a flat iron it was going to be amazing. Well, I'd rather use my conair flat iron than this one (although it probably causes much less hair damage). This one does not produce lasting curls, and hair does not feel as smooth as it should afterwards. I am sorely disappointed and will be returning my purchase in lieu of a cheaper product that will most likely produce similar results.

I used to own a corioliss classic pro and it has been my favorite even after trying the chi…! I’ve done some research on the net before and thought this one has been getting some good feedback… but really, this flat iron from chi is really bad! not recommended! not heating up properly and causing a certain degree of damage to my hair! Do not get this one!
