Better than a CHI!! I use my friends CHI all the time, and my BaByliss is still better. It holds the straightness even when you sleep on it. And the big plus is that the hair is supple and not dry! My biggest problem was always the duration of time my hair stayed straight. With my old flat iron it would look great for the first half an hour and then after 10 minutes outside it's like I didn't spend an hour on my hair in the morning. This iron really changed that, I can straighten my hair once and go for two days with my hair just how I want it! The only thing is that it can only do big curls or waves if you decide to curl your hair with it, I would go for a 1 inch to make titer curls. Great product, worth the money!

When i straighten my hair with this flat iron,  i find that my hair stays straight for a longer period of time. i also feel that it doesn't damage my hair as much as my old babyliss due to the titanium plates.

 I would also like to add that the Babyliss flat iron, that i had before this one, lasted for about 6 years. I believe and expect this flat iron to last just as long!!

Babyliss flat irons are good despite the fact that they are under-rated to Avanti and Chi appliances. ( i returned an Avanti straightener once because the temperature button did not work and because it would not turn on all the time).

Consider purchasing this straightener if you want a quality, long lasting appliance.
