Adjustable Digital Temperature (Fahrenheit to Celsius):
The adjustable digital temperature display allows you to know the exact temperature of your flat iron for precision straightening. Avanti Wet to Dry heats up to a scorching 450° F (230°C) in less than 30 seconds.  The default temperature will be set to Fahrenheit; however, if it reverses to Celsius then simply follow the steps to change it back:
1.  Unplug the iron, then plug it back into an outlet.
2.  Press down on the "power" and the "^" buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. The screen will show "F" first. Your iron has now been set to Fahrenheit. To switch the setting to Celsius, follow those steps but press down (opposite arrow) and the power button. Your screen will show "C" indicating that the setting has been changed to Celsius.

Got this for my bday and I must say it's awesome! I never use it beyond 360 degrees and my hair still looks shiny, soft and straight considering I have thick, coarse hair! I'm saying bye to my CHI for good!!

I've been using the Avanti since 2004, and it's a tried and true staple. My first iron lasted 4 years, and I've had my current one close to 4 years. I love how smooth the plates leaves my hair, and it doesn't snag at all. This iron is more than worth the money, I highly recommend it to anyone!

The tool heats up extremely fast! The temperature is easy to set and it remains in memory. I was apprehensive of the slightly larger plates at 1 3/8" instead of the 1" I previously used. The extra width provides better control. My baby fine hair was gorgeous and shiny and never lost volume. I was also impressed with Flat Iron Experts' service.
