Adjustable Digital Temperature (Fahrenheit to Celsius):
The adjustable digital temperature display allows you to know the exact temperature of your flat iron for precision straightening. Avanti Wet to Dry heats up to a scorching 450° F (230°C) in less than 30 seconds.  The default temperature will be set to Fahrenheit; however, if it reverses to Celsius then simply follow the steps to change it back:
1.  Unplug the iron, then plug it back into an outlet.
2.  Press down on the "power" and the "^" buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. The screen will show "F" first. Your iron has now been set to Fahrenheit. To switch the setting to Celsius, follow those steps but press down (opposite arrow) and the power button. Your screen will show "C" indicating that the setting has been changed to Celsius.

I have always had issues flat ironing my hair, so i would have to ask for help or go see my hair stylist to do it for me. She has the Avanti brand iron in her shop and she swears by it. She has always had a CHI till it started to crap out on her and after the 3rd one they sent her she got the Corioliss. The new straightener works amazingly. Its the only one that works on my thick, and extremely curly hair has been the Avanti.

My entire family had CHI flat irons, and after two mysteriously stopped working I decided to try this kind. Needless to say, my two sisters, two of my roommates, and I now all own Avanti's! They work so great, even on thick hair! I have naturally wavy and extremely thick hair (So thick that I sometimes struggle to get a hair-tie to wrap twice around my pony tail) and this will straighten it in less than 20 minutes. I will never go back to CHI after this.

My Avanti iron is 3 years old and finally needs replacing. This is a super iron! I have fine, very curly hair and I can use this iron and go out in misty rain (without an umbrella) with no ill-effects. I paid $250 for mine and for the amount of time I have gotten out it has made it a cost-efficient purchase. Now, it isn't heating up as much - which means it doesn't burn me if it slips. But, it still does the job! You will be able to even use it as a curling iron for soft, shiny curls. The manufacturer recommends (and so do I) that you not go over the hair repeatedly since it's so hot. Don't touch your hair immediately either or you'll burn your hands! I'm ecstatic to find this price Overall: a great purchase!
