I recently purchased this straightener and will be exchanging it right away.I found it warmed up quickly. Negative on this product is the plates are located further in with a ledge which tends to pull my hair rather than a smooth glide through hair. Im looking for an iron where the plates on close to the edge for better curl usage and overall less pulling on my hair. not recommend.

I find that this flat iron leaves me with a bump in my hair close to the scalp. I have to go over the top with my baby HR flat iron. If I had known this would happen, I would have been pickier when looking for a new iron to replace my HR iron.

This Avanti iron heats up very fast. My hair never gets caught in between the plates, which was a problem for me with my other flat irons. My hair straightens in one or two passes, and requires no added force. Its soooooo worth every dollar. My previous iron was an expensive Solia which lasted me only one week! Anyway, try out the Avanti, you can always return it, but I doubt you will want to.

now i know what it's like to use a real flat iron!!!! i never used flat irons much, but when i did it was a drugstore brand and i alwys thought it did nothing to my hair! well now that's a different story!! i got great results. it heats up in seconds and takes me about 5 minutes to do my hair. my hair is about shoulder length (a bit shorter) and pretty straight to begin with, but has crazy little waves here and there! its rebellious! and the iron does the job. and i might also add that i'm not one to fuss with my hair too much, but I just had to get rid of my Solia. so overall i'm very happy and glad i invested in a great flat iron!

My first flat iron

I am beginning with flat irons.. I’ve had this for 3 months now. though it’s not really that long of time, I think I was able to learn most of the tricks with styling within the first few times of usage! It’s easy! Actually for most of the time, I would use it for straightening! The temperature dial is a great feature this one has! I can adjust it to whatever temperature I like! Cos it is sometimes hard for people like me that has never in our lives try any flat irons before! At first, I was afraid that it would cause damage to my hair, so I usually turn it to pretty low… but now that I found that it only makes my hair look nice and healthy, I would either turn it to medium or even high! Haha I love it! good quality!
