Okay...I broke down and spent the money and am having a grand time flattening my thick/coarse way hair. It stays flat for days and seems to feel cleaner longer. It's shining and looks good. I am learning as I go on how to style with this iron b/c once it takes hold of your hair you better know what you’re doing. I've tried the different suggestions in the manual and they all work fine. Hope this product last a long time b/c I really like it. It is worth the money. I'm 62 and my hair looks great!
